Publication Ethics
IC-AEN follows the core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics and maintains independent editorial decisions. All editors reviewers and authors agree to these principles when they engage with the conference and with the proceedings prepared for the publisher.
Ethical principles
- Authorship authors listed on a manuscript make substantial contributions to conception design data acquisition analysis or interpretation and all authors approve submission and the final version
- Contribution transparency contributors who do not meet authorship are acknowledged with consent and contributions are described transparently
- Originality submissions are original and are not under consideration elsewhere and prior dissemination as a preprint is disclosed and cited
- Similarity screening manuscripts are screened for textual and image similarity and suspected duplication or plagiarism is investigated
- Human and animal research studies involving humans human data or animals state prior ethical approval consent when applicable and field permits and welfare safeguards
- Data and image integrity figures reflect original observations and inappropriate manipulation is not permitted and raw data and uncropped images are provided upon request
- Conflicts of interest authors editors and reviewers declare financial professional or personal relationships that could influence judgment and editors recuse when a conflict exists
- Editorial independence decisions are based on merit relevance and integrity and external influence is not accepted
- Citation integrity references are accurate balanced and relevant and undue or coercive citation practices are not permitted and persistent identifiers are added when available
- Corrections and retractions verified errors lead to a correction notice and verified misconduct may lead to retraction and notification of institutions or funders
- Sanctions serious violations such as fabrication falsification plagiarism or undisclosed conflicts may result in rejection removal from the program or future submission restrictions
- Appeals authors may submit evidence based appeals which are reviewed by an editor not involved in the original decision and outcomes are communicated in writing
- Reviewer conduct reviewers provide objective timely and confidential assessments and do not use unpublished material for personal advantage
- Record keeping editorial records including conflicts and review histories are kept securely for an appropriate period
- Presentation requirement accepted manuscripts must be presented as oral or poster and verified no show papers are excluded from the proceedings sent to the publisher
Random originality checks may also be conducted by the publisher and post publication amendments are not performed by the publisher once an article is released.
